Vital Beat FAQ

Vital Bear offers worldwide shipping

Vital Beat ships all its orders from The Netherlands. Orders are shipped with Fedex or DPD. Once we have created the shipping label you will be informed by the selected courier that a package is on its way to you. If you have not received a shipping confirmation after 3 business days please check the email address listed on your order. If incorrect please contact us and we will inform you about the progress of your shipment. Also check your spam folder.

Orders delivered within the European Union.

All orders shipped within the EU are handled by DPD. Shipping orders within the EU in general takes about 3 to 7 Business days.

All orders delivered to an EU address must pay 21 percent sales tax. EU orders do NOT have to pay any customs fees.

 

Orders Delivered outside the European Union.

Orders shipped outside of the EU will be handled by Fedex. Shipping outside the EU will take about 5-10 business days. Shipping times outside EU are mostly dependance on the time it takes to get customs clearance. Customs can cause delivery delays for up to 6 business day.

All orders delivered to a non EU address do NOT pay 21 percent sales tax. Orders shipped outside of EU might be subjected to customs fees and local taxes.

Sizing and fitting

How do I make sure I choose the right size Shirt?

When choosing the size of shirt,  you need to consider a few important things.

  • A good fit is key to the proper placement of the protection shield
  • A shirt that is too big/loose will allow the shield to move to much and not cover your device at all times
  • The shirt should have a snug fit, but, should not feel to compressed and or uncomfortable
  • When in doubt between sizes pick the smaller size, the fabric stretches and should match the contours of your body

What size is the Shield?

The Vital Beat Shield is about the size of your average person’s hand. The shield is a one size fits all.

The Vital Beat Sport Shield has the same size.

The exact dimensions are:

Hight: 18 cm / 7 Inch

Width: 13 cm / 5 Inch

Thick: 9 mm / 3/8 Inch

Why do I need a compression Shirt?

It is very important to keep the protection Shield in the right place. Specifically when you are actively going around, playing sports etc. The Shirt has a very important part in this. Therefore it is important that the Vital Beat Shirt has a snug fit and that it does not allow the Shield to move around.

What if it doesn't fit?

We do our best to help find the right size Shirt for you when placing the order. However, it is af course possible that when trying it on for the first time you do not feel comfortable and would like a different size.

Vital beat will always help you get the right size. Send us an email and we will give you the return address.Then mail the Shirt(s) back to us and we will ship you the right size Shirt(s) back to you for free.

Online ordering

Which credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa and MasterCard. You can also pay with your PayPal account, iDeal and via direct bank transfer (your order will be shipped after receiving payment).

Why would my credit card be declined?

A common reason for credit cards to be declined is because the billing address that is entered does not match the address the credit card company has on file. Make sure you use the same billing address as is registered with the credit card (the shipping address does not need to match the CC address). If your credit card still does not work please contact your credit card company.

Pending charges?

When you place an order on vitalbeat.me, our computer software checks your account to make sure you have the funds to pay for your order. This shows up as a pending charge (no funds have been acquired from your account at this time). If your card is accepted, this pending charge will turn into payment accepted at the time the order is shipped. If your card is declined, this pending payment will go away within a few business days.

Shield and Shirt

Can I purchase the Vital Beat shield without purchasing the shirt?

It is not possible to purchase the Vital Beat Shield separately. We have worked hard on making our product and carefully selected its components to guarantee you the best possible protection. Therefore we have chosen to only sell the Shield and Shirt as a combined product.

Customers that have previously ordered our product and require a new Shield, in case off damage by e.g. accidentally placed in washing machine, can contact us personally to purchase a separate Shield. Please contact us to inform about the possibilities. Please include the order number from previous order.

Can I buy just a Shirt without the Shield?

If you already have our Pacemaker, ICD or S-ICD protection product you can purchase extra shirts. You can also buy shirts as a gift for a family member or friend. Shirts are sold separately for all devices.

Can I buy more than one shirt?

Yes, you can purchase more than one shirt. You can also buy shirts as a gift for a family member or friend. Shirts are sold separately for all devices. For Pacemaker and ICD carriers we also have a special offer of three shirts.

Can the Shield be removed from the Shirt?

Yes, the Vital Beat shield can easily be removed from its pocket.

It is very important that the Vital Beat Shield is removed from the pocket after usage. The Shield must never be washed with the Shirt and must be stored in a dry place.

How do I clean / dry my Vital Beat Shield?

The Shield must always be removed from the shirt before washing!

All Vital Beat Shields are wipe-clean only. To clean your shield you can use a cold/lukewarm damp cloth.

After cleaning, allow to dry in a ventilated space at room temperature; do not use hair dryers or other heaters to dry your shield.

NEVER use cleaners, detergents, or launder your shield. This may result in irreparable damage and will severely reduce the effectiveness of your shield.

Storage?

The Vital Beat Shields should be stored at room temperature, in a ventilated dry place, out of direct sunlight.

Do not store under heavy objects. If wet after use, ensure your Shield is dry before storing.

Never fold or bend your Shield.

Maintenance?

Never modify any part of your Shield. The Shield should be inspected regularly for signs of wear and/or damage and replaced if necessary.

You should never use a broken or damaged Shield as it will no longer obtains its protective characteristics.
